Having started out in the world of drag as a Cher impersonator at the legendary "Funny Girls" in Blackpool the Maci Sumcox we know today has come a long way. After years of performing all over the UK and Europe she made the move stateside and is now NYC's first resident British Queen. Since her arrival in 2014 Maci has won the title of Miss Barracuda 2015 at the iconic "Barracuda Lounge" was a finalist in Season 5 of "So You Think You Can Drag" New York's biggest drag competition, was nominated for two nightlife awards "Breakthrough Artist" at the 2015 Glammy's & "Best Newcomer" at the Odyssey Awards 2015 and even has a lip color named after her which is available at Abracadabra NYC. Maci has hosted and performed all over the city including co-hosting the "Original LGBT Expo 2016" working with many incredible performers including Peppermint, Jason Cozmo, Vivacious, Bob The Drag Queen and Sherry Vine, even making cameos in Sherry's videos and continues to make it her mission to entertain wherever she goes with her comedic lip-syncs, naughty stories, impersonations (including Adele, Kelly Clarkson & Meghan Trainor), live vocals or during one of her many hilarious parody videos.
"Once is a while a new queen comes to NYC and knocks everyone out! But enough about her breath. Maci Sumcox is hilarious, talented and inspired - Sherry Vine"
"I love to wake up to something big, fresh and that spurts out filth and nothing disappoints with Maci Sumcox. She sings about cock like Taylor Swift sings about ex boyfriends. Shake it off or Jerk it off - Pam Ann
"Hilarious! - Jackie Beat"
So when a drag queen does drag suicide and gets other queens to help... is that drag assisted suicide?
Although Maci got her start in the drag world as a Cher tribute act back in the UK many years ago however it wasn't until 2015 that she got the impersonation bug again and started working regularly as her new icon Adele. She now performs weekly as the British belter as well as Kelly Clarkson and Meghan Trainor in the New York City show Diva Royale as well as at private functions all over the city.
